She was involved in video and writing projects for Hispanic Heritage Month, Day of the Dead, and local businesses ran by the Latino community. Now
Kaylhan currently holds the position of Deputy Director for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion within the President's Cabinet of the school's student government. She is also currently interning as a Data Analyst at the U.S. Department of Education and Office of Migrant Education.

During her first year in University, she studied abroad in Bath, England where she cultivated herself to European customs, collaborated with students and staff about class projects, and established everlasting friendships with locals. While abroad, she enhanced her perspective on culture and language when visiting France, Spain, Austria, and Wales.
